This summer, GAIA is organizing a ten-day workcamp focused on rivers: the “Rivers of Sharr Mountain”
“The Sharr Mountains are a mountain range in the Balkans that stretches from Kosovo and the northwest of North Macedonia to northeastern Albania. The section in Kosovo accounts for 43% of the mountain range and has been designated as a national park since 1986.”
Workcamp will gather 10-15 volunteers in Štrpce/Shtërpcë, from August 18th to August 28th 2021. Local and international volunteers will be involved in two types of activities: clean-up actions focused on the mountain rivers of Kaluđerka, Bolovanka and Miljoštica close to the Sharri National Park, and creating an inspiring mural on the topic of rivers in a public space in the center of Štrpce/Shtërpcë municipality.
