๐๏ธ Join a new peacebuilding initiative that explores how clowning becomes a tool for inclusive peace!
ABOUT
Across Europe, young people face exclusion, unequal power dynamics, and growing polarisation around justice and peace. Many lack safe spaces to express themselves, explore activism, or understand how power, intersectionality, and oppression shape their daily lives. Clown Peace! offers a different path. Through circus pedagogy, movement, and embodied creativity, participants learn to understand power, reclaim their bodies, and transform knowledge into action. Clowning and physical theatre invite vulnerability, presence, and humour, powerful tools for peacebuilding. The course connects the SCIโs legacy of peacebuilding with todayโs realities, from rebuilding houses in the 1920s to rebuilding relationships, narratives, and communities in 2026.
REQUIREMENTS
We welcome up to 20 participants that are open to intercultural learning, collaboration, and coโcreation within the European area. This training is for you if you:
- Are 18 years or older.
- Are youth workers, educators, facilitators, or community leaders working directly with young people facing exclusion, discrimination, or limited opportunities.
- Use or wish to use artistic, physical, and creative approaches to address local social issues.
- Facilitate learning with diverse groups, including adults, young people with fewer opportunities, and communities affected by conflict or inequality.
- Are motivated to explore circus, clowning, and embodied methods as tools for empowerment, expression, and peacebuilding.
- Want to integrate inclusive, accessible, and nonโviolent activism into your work.
- Are based in one of the following countries: EU Member States or third countries associated with the Programme, Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Eastern Partnership Countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Southern Mediterranean Region: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
This is an international Erasmus+ seminar funded by the Austrian Erasmus+ National Agency for Youth as part of an accreditation project in the field of youth (2021-2027). Thanks to Erasmus+ funding, board, lodging, travel and activities are covered. There is no participation fee for this training. Travel costs will be reimbursed afterwards to an agreed limit, depending on the sending country. We strongly encourage green travel and will support you with advice and planning. Other necessary expenses, such as visa fees, will be reimbursed after approval by the organisers.
