SCI Catalunya is looking for volunteers to help with the reconstruction of an Iberian House!
📍 Where: Ballestar, Valencian region, Spain
📅 When: 28 March – 6 April 2026
⏳ Duration: 10 days
SCI Cataluyna is the Catalan branch of SCI and one of the 2 branches in Spain. They are based in Barcelona and their working area covers the Catalan countries (including Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands, and Andorra).
SCI Cataluyna works to promote peaceful social transformation of society in order to encourage sustainable human development and a culture of peace, through volunteer groups, involving their community and local networks.
As a volunteer you will:
- Help carry out the reconstruction on a Iberian site of the Morranda
- Professionals in biodynamic construction and experimental archaeology will be there to support!
- Utilize techniques of experimental archaeology
- Develop a better understanding of the Iberian world
- Help to enhance the cultural heritage in the Benifassa Province
- Discuss the culture of peace, inequalities, feminism, and Iberian culture
- Visit the cave paintings and explore the local culture
Food & Accommodation
- Shared house within the village of Ballestar
- Food will be provided by the organization
- Volunteers will be responsible for cooking meals
Who can apply?
- Those proficient in/comfortable with English
- National volunteers: at least 16 years old
- International volunteers: at least 18 years old
