We have some exciting Volunteer Camps happening this year!

Our volunteer camps share a common social purpose, which we— and especially you— support through the respective project work. Here, you’ll find our projects for the 2026 season to get an impression of what you can expect and what kind of work awaits you. Have fun browsing and getting inspired!

July

Youth 4 Nature with National Parks: Gesäuse & Eisenwurzen (ESC-Camp)

• • National Parks Gesäuse & Eisenwurzen, Austria

• • 18-30 years old

• • Nature Conservation, Environmental Protection

Overview: Protect threatened habitats in Austria’s wildest regions! You’ll work with volunteers from all over the world in the Gesäuse and the Eisenwurzen on real nature conservation measures. Gain knowledge about biodiversity, regional development and sustainable land management.

Nature not Nationalism! (SCI-Camp)

• • 12-19 July 

• • Terfens, Tyrol

• • 18-99 years old

• • Environmental Protection, Social Justice

Overview: Protect alpine nature and think critically with us! In Terfens (Tyrol), you will work together with international volunteers to remove invasive plants and question how ecological terms have been politically misused. Link to apply: https://www.volunteer.sci.ngo/projects/3048

At School of Volunteering – Waldorf School Renovation (ESC-Camp)

Overview: Gain practical experience in renovation, gardening and sustainable engagement! Support the school community in smaller construction and craft projects.

Green Belt Camp (ESC-Camp)

• • Lower Austria

• • 18-30 years old

• • Nature Conservation, Biodiversity Preservation

Overview: Save threatened habitats along the European Green Belt! Along a part of the European Green Belt in Lower Austria, you will work together with international volunteers to care for rare dry grasslands and advocate for the preservation of unique biodiversity

About our Camps

General Requirements for SCI Volunteer Camps:

• • 18+ years old (in some cases 16+)

• • Basic English skills

• • Participation in a preparatory meeting

• • Have a sending organisation belonging to the SCI Network (Find your local organisation)

• • Main or secondary residence in Europe or Neighbouring Countries (nationality is not relevant)
