Our Trainings for 2026!

Expand your Skills and Challenge your Perceptions with Our Trainings and Youth Exchanges!💡

Beyond volunteer projects, SCI Austria is constantly interested in supporting the exchange of knowledge. We regularly organise training courses such as youth exchanges, workshops, training sessions and seminars. These training programmes are all designed according to the principle of non-formal education (NFE). Non-formal education means learning through practice and exchange outside academic institutions. SCI enables you to expand your knowledge through EU-funded training courses and seminars!

Here’s an overview of our upcoming trainings and youth exchanges for this year:

  • 📅 22-31 March
  • 📍 Innsbruck, Austria
  • 👤 18-99 years old

Overview: An advanced training and skillshare focused on the Palestinian question and action. The Palestinian cause and the rise in global militarization have been key entry points into political activism over the past years. This has created a gap between the urgency to act and the need for deeper knowledge, political tools, and resources. This training welcomes 20 activists, educators, community organizers and youth workers who work on Palestine and are based in Europe and SWANA region, to go with us beyond the basics.

  • 📅 7-13 April
  • 📍 Innsbruck, Austria
  • 👤 18-99 years old

Overview: FLOW is a critical training of trainers focused on facilitation in non-formal education, with a special emphasis on justice, peace, anti-discrimination, care work and climate justice. If you want to learn more about working with a critical mindset, non-formal education tools, and trying out different facilitation methods and concepts, FLOW is the place for you.

  • 📅 15-22 April
  • 📍 Vienna, Austria
  • 👤 18-99 years old

Overview: With Create Peace, explore how climate justice and antimilitarism intersect. Create Peace responds to two urgent realities for young people: the accelerating climate crisis and the rise of militarisation. This project, through creative communication tools, embodies activism and a renewal of SCI’s century-old volunteer camp model. The participants will be taught to understand the complexity of the topics mentioned and how to communicate them through visual and storytelling tools. They will also be invited to co-create updated volunteer camp methods.

  • 📅 10-16 May
  • 📍 Vienna, Austria
  • 👤 18-30 years old

Overview: Explore how pop music relates to war, militarism and genocide. Eurovision alone has a huge history of tackling these topics (from Ireland/UK, Ukraine/Russia, Azerbaijan/ Armenia, Balkan wars and the Bosnian genocide, Israel of course, many more) and at the same time has a huge queer fan base. The idea is to reflect on the topic and come up with some outcome (e.g. social media campaigns, video interviews with artists or visitors during the event, doing some press work within Austrian media, etc.).

  • 📅 16-24 June
  • 📍 Vienna, Austria
  • 👤 18-99 years old

Overview: In this training course, circus arts + peace activism are brought together, forming Circus Artivism. Across Europe, young people face increasing social exclusion, lack of opportunities, low self-esteem, and insufficient safe spaces to express their visions for justice and peace. Young people from across Europe will explore how to use circus and clowning to promote inclusion, question injustices, challenge structural violence, and create public actions that inspire dialogue rather than confrontation.
