CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: “Pop or Politics? A Queer Youth Exchange” for participants living in Austria, Armenia, Greece, or Palestine

📅10-16 May 2026 | 📍Vienna, Austria | Erasmus + Youth Exchange

📣Join a Queer Youth Exchange with SCI Austria & No More War Collective!

ABOUT

The history of pop music is filled with anthems for and against war, for denying and celebrating genocide, but also for commemorating and resisting genocide. Eurovision Song Contest, the world’s biggest TV show, has always been both a site of geopolitical tension and queer celebration of camp. Eurovision 2026 will take place in Vienna at the same time as this exchange and we want to use this as an opportunity to get queer youth together to reflect and get active on our relationship with pop music as resistance against oppressive systems.

Through a wide variery of methods, like experiental learning, community building, critical pedagogy and activist training, we invite you to a space full of critical thinking, queer empowerment, cross-border solidarity, music listening sessions, discussions, self- reflection and getting active!
