What an inspiring few days at the Volunteer Camps Participants Preparation Seminar! 💚
The seminar brings together participants and coordinators who will take part in international volunteer camps over the summer. It is designed to prepare for the experience by exploring topics such as group dynamics, care work, intercultural learning, and the realities of both short- and long-term volunteering. It also creates a space to connect with one another before heading to different projects.

I was especially grateful to have the opportunity, as a long-term volunteer, to facilitate a session on accessibility. Sharing my experiences and discussing how we can make volunteer camps more accessible and inclusive was truly meaningful, and I appreciated everyone’s openness, curiosity, and engagement.

We also stayed at Rooming Inn, a beautiful community space that made the experience even more special with its welcoming atmosphere.

A huge thank you to Serena and Myrna for all the care, energy, and dedication they put into organizing and facilitating the seminar. You made the experience not only effective but also colorful, engaging, and full of positive energy.
Looking forward to seeing the impact of this year’s volunteer camps! 💚
