Description

Staroselska Farm is a regenerative ecological farm in Slovenia established in 2020 by Tamara Povh and Andrej Kurnik. The farm combines traditional ecological knowledge with agroecology, social ecology, and ethics of care. The camp aims to connect rural and urban communities, support sustainable living practices, and create a space for collective learning, volunteering, and cultural exchange. Through practical farm work, workshops, discussions, and community living, participants will explore regenerative agriculture, ecological responsibility, and social justice.

Activities involved

Volunteers will perform many activities, including:

  • Regular maintenance of gardens
  • Harvesting plants
  • Caring for animals and pastures
  • Forest observation and maintenance
  • Agroforestry work on slopes
  • Maintenance of farm infrastructure
  • Collective food preparation
  • Participating in collective reflection sessions and educational workshops

Accommodation & Food

Participants will sleep in their own tents or in the barn/hayrack. A sleeping bag is required. Compost toilets and outdoor showers will be available. Food ingredients will come from the farm and nearby regenerative and ecological farms. Participants will collectively prepare meals.
