Description

This caravan volunteer camp will last about 2 months, starting from Botswana, then to Zimbabwe, after to South Africa, and ending in Mozambique. Six Southern African youth organizations have partnered to create this camp: Botswana Workcamps Association, GEPI Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Workcamps Association, South Africa Volunteer Work Camp Association, AJUDE, and AJOV.

The caravan aims to promote sustainable agriculture, build a prosperous and peaceful Africa through youth empowerment, facilitate pan-African exchange, and help youth tap into their possibilities as agents of change. The program is targeted at young people working in the local community and other civil organizations implementing development or volunteer activities in Southern Africa.

The regional community services project will be divided into four phases. In South Africa, volunteers will…

  • learn skills in sustainable agriculture
  • foster empathy, unity, and self-sufficiency

Participants will also travel to and join volunteer projects in Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique.
